Worth it | ‘Nintendo Switch Sports’ is adding basketball as a free update this summer

Swing, kick and nail your way to victory with a collection of sports that put you right in the middle of the action!

Play in person or online with family and friends, or challenge friendly competitors near and far in the new version of the classic Wii Sports series.

Convert your real-world actions into in-game moves using Joy-Con controllers and compete in six sports including Football, Volleyball, Bowling, Tennis, Badminton and Chambara (sword game). You can even use a Joy-Con with the leg strap accessory, included in the physical version, to kick the ball in a soccer shootout!

Additionally, a seventh sport is scheduled to be added this fall via a free update – get ready for golf! Be active and join the game whenever Nintendo Switch Sports launches

While playing online in random matchmaking, you can redeem the points you earn for in-game rewards such as outfits, sports accessories, equipment and much more for your avatar. The selection of items changes every week, so check back often to see what’s in stock!

Basketball comes to Spocco Square in the Nintendo Switch Sports game as a free update later this summer!

Use motion controls to sink as many baskets as possible within the time limit in the solo Three-Point Challenge. If you’re looking for some friendly competition, up to four players*** can compete locally in Five-Streak Battle or Three-Point Contest, and you can dribble, pass and score locally in two-on-two matches*** or online**.
