PARIS, LONDON, JULY 3, 2024: Eurosport, the home of the Olympic Games in Europe, today unveils the world’s top experts for comprehensive coverage of the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The return of the Olympic Games to Europe for the first time in 12 years will be marked by a monumental celebration of the Olympic spirit. No other group of acclaimed athletes is better placed to bring this excitement to fans across Europe.

Eurosport is celebrating its first Olympic Games as part of Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) and will broadcast the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in 47 markets in 19 languages ​​on its Max and discovery+ platforms with television coverage on Eurosport-owned channels.

Eurosport will be reporting from the heart of Paris’ iconic landmarks, from stunning locations and the quintessentially Parisian rooftop studio WBD House, alongside studios in the local market. Eurosport’s coverage promises to be the most immersive Olympic Games ever on Max and discovery+*.

Streaming users can enjoy a multi-screen Olympic experience, allowing fans to watch at home or on the go, from stadium to street, via TV, mobile or tablet. Each of the 32 Olympic sports will have its own dedicated page, allowing users to add specific events to their watchlist on Max. For 15 sports*****, the innovative timeline highlighting feature will identify key moments, allowing users to navigate straight to that point in time for web and mobile app users, bringing iconic sporting moments to even more fans. And for a more relaxed experience, an editorially curated mix of live events, highlights and additional content will be available via simulcasts of Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 within the apps.

BREAK FREE CAMPAIGN CELEBRATES THE CITY AND ITS CHAMPIONS

Warner Bros. Discovery’s new ‘Break Free’ marketing campaign will support Max’s promotion during the Olympic Games. A new 60-second film will launch across Europe on 8 July, celebrating the joyous vibrancy of the Parisian playground and symbolising the ability of streaming users to break free and enjoy the Olympic Games in whatever way they want.

NEW PARTNERSHIPS SHOW THE POWER OF THE FIRST EUROPEAN GAMES IN 12 YEARS

For the first time since London 2012, fans across Europe will be able to enjoy the biggest moments of the Olympic Games during primetime broadcast windows, as Eurosport celebrates its ‘Home Games’. Advertiser appeal has never been greater, with WBD securing a record number of multi-market sponsorship deals with new and returning premium Presenting Partners including Bridgestone, Samsung and ADP.

New content partnerships with leading social media platforms including Snapchat are also bringing the Olympic Games to new fans through exclusive behind-the-scenes content, extending the reach of the Games to everyone. Millions of fans in France and the UK will be able to enjoy a free daily show on the platform during the Games, showcasing the beautiful, weird and wacky must-see moments, as users get closer to the showbiz side of the Olympics.

Warner Bros. Discovery is also leveraging its full portfolio of beloved consumer brands and IP to develop new cross-platform content across Paris. The iconic characters from the Looney Tunes universe come together to educate audiences on the perfect executions required to succeed, as well as the perils and pitfalls of various Olympic sports through the new Looney Tunes: Sports Made Easy explainers.

This is in addition to new original content launching ahead of the Olympic Games, including the Eurosport-produced documentary August 4 – An Olympic Odyssey, which will premiere on July 3 and analyzes the monumental moments that occurred on this date in history.
