Virgin Voyages teams up for special rides and 61 free cruises

Virgin Voyages has launched a summer campaign titled “Seas the Ride,” pairing the cruise line with indoor cycling company SoulCycle in a first for the energetic brands.

From July 15 through September 4, 2024, “Seas the Ride” will feature themed SoulCycle rides in various locations, with participants on land taking part in the ultimate summer challenge of cycling for a chance to win an adults-only cruise experience on Virgin Voyages at any of SoulCycle’s 61 studios.

Each ride between July 15 and September 4 will count as an entry to win, with one rider randomly selected from each studio as the winner. The prize includes a plus one for the trip, and winners must be 18 or older and residents of the US or UK.

The promotion will also bring Virgin Voyages’ vibrant atmosphere to 15 SoulCycle studios, which will be transformed with bright red lighting, pumping music and performances from Virgin’s Happenings Cast.

In addition, each themed cruise will feature summer treats and refreshments inspired by the culinary delights on board Virgin ships.

Guests sail on Brave lady July 19, roundtrip cruise from Miami to Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos, can also join in on the fun with multiple electric rides in the ship’s onboard spin studio, taught by Virgin’s own SoulCycle trainer Isaiah Alexander. Located in the B-Complex, the sailing will include both morning and afternoon cycling classes.

SoulCycle fans can head to Virgin in New York starting this Saturday. The Virgin Voyages takeover will take place at The Barn in Bridgehampton on July 20, and in New York City’s Tribeca, NoHo and Bronxville on July 23, 25 and 27, respectively.

There will also be rides across California, including West Hollywood on July 25, Palo Alto on August 17, Union Street in San Francisco on August 22, and Pasadena on August 29.

Additional rides will take place in Old Town Chicago on August 1, River Oaks in Houston on August 3, Seaport in Boston on August 8, Buckhead in Atlanta on August 10, Seattle on August 31, and Coral Gables and Brickell in Miami on August 24 and 30, respectively.

Sir Richard Branson, founder and owner of Virgin Group, which operates Virgin Voyages, has a history of unique promotions and often appears surprisinglyso we wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the Hamptons for the launch of the Seas the Ride campaign.

Wellness and fitness offerings on board Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages is an adults-only cruise line that offers a range of wellness facilities and activities onboard its ships, particularly in the B-Complex area.

The B complex has large floor-to-ceiling windows that offer panoramic sea views while exercising. The complex is divided into two functional areas, equipped with the latest Technogym equipment.

One section serves as a multi-functional fitness studio where guests can take part in a range of classes, from Bungee to BARRE. The cycling studio offers free spinning classes.

Both indoors and outdoors, you can work out at the free Training Camp. You can use equipment such as MyBeast for functional training and a Geezers Boxing ring for boxing enthusiasts.

For guests looking for a more private workout experience, the Training Camp offers a Fitness on Demand app that passengers can use during their cruise.

There is also a 255-metre-long jogging track around the ship, which is ideal for running and walking.

The SoulCycle program is only available on Brave ladybut the cruise line operates a fleet of four ships, all built at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy.

Any ship, including Resilient lady, Scarlet LadyAnd Gorgeous ladyweighs 110,000 gross tons and can accommodate just under 2,800 passengers and 1,160 crew.
