UAAP’s NU, Adamson, FEU highlight 10-team Asiabasket lineup

The Anta Asiabasket International Championship kicks off at Enderun Colleges from July 9 to 16.

This exciting event will see university and club teams from across the continent and beyond compete at the highest level, promising an exciting week of basketball action.

The Asiabasket International Championship features a remarkable line-up of teams, including three teams from the UAAP and three international teams.

From the UAAP, the National University Bulldogs, Adamson Soaring Falcons and Far Eastern University Tamaraws have confirmed their participation.

The international representatives are National Formosa University from Taiwan, DKI Jakarta from Indonesia and Lakas California from the USA. They bring different playing styles and an international flair to the tournament.

The NCAA is represented by the San Beda Red Lions, the College of Saint Benilde Blazers and the Mapua University Cardinals.

Host club Phenom Blue Fire, backed by Blue Fire, with a mix of emerging talent and experienced players, provides an added element of unpredictability and excitement.

The tournament will feature ten teams divided into two groups, Group A and Group B, competing in a single round-robin format.

The top four teams from each group will advance to the knockout stage. This stage begins with the quarter-finals, followed by the semi-finals and ends with the championship match.

The Asiabasket International Championship will start on July 9, 2024.

The opening day starts at 1:00 PM with a match between National Formosa University from Taiwan and the Benilde Blazers.

This will be followed by a showdown between the Adamson Soaring Falcons and the Mapua Cardinals at 3:00 PM. It promises to be an intense battle between UAAP and NCAA.

At 17:00 DKI Jakarta from Indonesia will face the San Beda Red Lions. It promises to be an exciting match.

The day will conclude with an exciting match at 7:00 PM between the National University Bulldogs and the host club Phenom Blue Fire, setting the stage for an exciting start to the tournament.
