The 2024 edition of the Copa America kicks off on Thursday, June 20, when defending champions Argentina take on Canada in Atlanta.

The United States is hosting the tournament for the second time. The US also hosted the Copa América Centenario in 2016. As in 2016, when the US played host, teams from Concacaf will compete against those from CONMEBOL – the South American football federation that usually organizes the Copa America.
