Tom Brady’s second championship victory over Patrick Mahomes leaves fans spellbound

One of the main points of contention that always contradicts Patrick Mahomes when compared to Tom Brady is the latter’s Super Bowl victory when the duo starred in the big game. Losing to TB12 at Super Bowl LV will haunt the Chiefs QB forever. But what’s even worse is the fact that Mahomes lost another championship, which manifested itself not on the court but on the NBA court.

It’s no secret that, true to his roots, Mahomes is a die-hard Dallas Mavericks fan. The Chiefs QB has also been very vocal in recent weeks, supporting Luka Doncic & Co. during their dominant journey to the final. But as luck would have it, the Mavs lost when it mattered most against the Boston Celtics (88-106), a team Brady has long supported for all the right reasons.

Compared to the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots, the Celtics have always been the least successful of the three. Still, Brady has been an outspoken supporter of the team from the start of his fame. That’s why the QB, as the poster boy for Boston’s sporting heritage with his incredible stint in New England, was even more proud and elated when the Shamrocks went all out and held their own against the Celtics.

That said, from an NFL perspective, this will count as yet another Tom Brady win over Patrick Mahomes. As usual, NFL fans share a similar sentiment and quickly took to social media to share their two cents.

While some noted that they knew who was winning as soon as Mahomes endorsed the Mavericks, others couldn’t help but shower love on the former NFL star. See for yourself:

While fans enjoyed trolling Mahomes, the player remained unfazed by their antics and instead focused on a more pressing concern for the Celtics in Payton Pritchard.

Mahomes reacts to the Boston Celtics’ championship win

Payton Pritchard has undeniably positioned himself among the best buzzer-beaters in the NBA. Despite playing just a minute and 23 seconds in Game 5, his ability to win in crucial moments became a game-changing asset, according to FOX Sports.

A shot from half the court always crushes opponents, and Pritchard’s half-court heave yesterday sucked the soul out of the comeback the Mavericks were trying to make.

Understanding the tremendous impact Pritchard had on his half-courter, Mahomes went to “X” to express his anger at the Mavericks star’s brilliance. ‘Bro, I hate this guy’ the Chiefs star posted.

While Mahomes had his evening ruined by the Celtics & Co., Brady, on the other hand, was excited about the win. As the figurehead of Boston’s sporting success, the GOAT was proud of the Celtics for adding another trophy to Boston’s name. As for X, the former QB wrote: “Another one in Boston,” accompanied by a clover emoji.

It’s safe to say that Patrick Mahomes will have to wait another season before the Mavs can break their championship drought. However, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Chiefs QB hoping for a Mavs win against a team not endorsed by TB12.
