Team Nigeria will participate in 11 matches (see full list)

With only five days left until the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Team Nigeria will participate in 11 competitions, involving approximately 205 countries.

This year’s tournament will take place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, with a delegation of 88 athletes from various sports.

Team Nigeria will participate in the following events: athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, canoeing, cycling, football, table tennis, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling.

The Nigerian contingent consists of world-class athletes such as Tobi AmusanEse Brume and Aruna Quadri.

Others are Blessing Oborodudu, Favor Ashe, Favor Ofili, Odunayo Adekouroye and Chukwuebuka Enekwechi and Aruna Quadri.

Minister of Sports Development John Owan Enoh is confident that the Nigerian team will give its best during the competition.

“Our athletes put a tremendous amount of effort and dedication into their preparations.

“We are confident that with the support of all Nigerians, our team will excel and make the nation proud,” he said in a statement.

Enoh has high expectations for the team and wants Nigeria to surpass its best performance at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
