Steps new general manager of volleyball club Nevobo

Joëlle Staps is the new general manager of volleyball club Nevobo as of September 1. The 46-year-old Leersumer succeeds Michel Everaert, who will remain as director of events and sports development. Together they form the board.

Staps worked at the Nevobo from 2009 to 2016 and held the position of general director from 2012 to 2016. She then moved to the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), where she helped develop the sports agreement.

“I am very excited to start a new episode at the Nevobo,” Staps said via the association. “I look forward to working with the employees, volunteers, clubs and partners to continue building volleyball in the Netherlands.”

Everaert succeeded Guido Davio as general manager last year and has since formed the management team with technical director Herman Meppelink.
