Sports enthusiasts are urged to attend free clinics in Manila

Mayor Honey Lacuna invites sports enthusiasts to take advantage of the free sports clinic conducted under the auspices of the Manila Sports Council (MASCO), led by Roel de Guzman.

Lacuna said the activity, called “2nd Mayora Honey Lacuna Free Sports Clinic,” is in its third and final week. The first clinic was held from June 18 to 19, while the second is scheduled for June 21 to 22.

The said program consists of basketball, badminton, karate-do, swimming and volleyball.

According to Lacuna, the aim of the program is to teach children under the age of 14 the basics of various sports disciplines, to keep them away from vices.

The mayor said even though the last day of the clinic is June 22, interested parties can still register.

Also on June 22, Lacuna said the city government, in collaboration with the Manila Department of Tourism, Culture and the Arts (DTCAM) headed by Charlie Dungo, will hold the “Coronation Night of Miss Manila 2024: Woman of Worth.” ‘

The event will take place at the Metropolitan Theater at 7pm.

A total of 24 female residents of Manila will compete for the prestigious title of Miss Manila 2024.

Dungo said Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel and Kapuso star Gabbi Garcia will serve as hosts of the event.
