Sekhukhune signs Sikhosonke Langa as Ntiya-Ntiya’s replacement

Sekhukhune United have completed the signing of AmaTuks star Sikhosonke Langa, who replaces former Kaizer Chiefs left-back Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya.

As previously reported by FARPost, the Limpopo side is preparing to build a competitive squad ahead of the 2024/25 DStv Premiership season. The club recently released left back Ntiya-Ntiya, whose contract is expiring. Lebogang Mabotja, another left back, was also sacked after just one season at the club.

Sekhukhune United will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup next season. This is the second season in a row that Sekhukhune has qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup. In the previous campaign, Babina Noko was eliminated in the group stage of the tournament and they will look to improve in the upcoming campaign.

Meanwhile, Sekhukhune has already secured the signatures of Keletso Makgalwa, Andy Boyeli and Njabulo Ngcobo, who will leave Kaizer Chiefs upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June.

The highly rated full-back was one of the outstanding players in the Motsepe Foundation Championship for Tuks. Langa, 30, was part of the AmaTuks team that finished second in the NFD to qualify for the PSL Promotion/Relegation play-offs.

The Tshwane side fell short in the play-offs as Richards Bay FC retained their Premiership status.

“AmaTuks defender Sikhosonke Langa will move to Sekhukhune United next season. It’s a done deal,” a source revealed.

“Langa is a talented left back who can give you options both defensively and offensively. Therefore, he will team up with Sekhukhune for a preparation camp in the coming days.”

The other players heading to Sekhukhune are Collins Makgaka, Sibusiso Vilakazi, Edwin Gymah, Tashreeq Morris and Micheal Sarpong.
