Scotland women prepare for WXV2 with autumn testing at Hive Stadium

These crucial competitive tests form a vital part of Scotland’s preparations for the upcoming WXV2 tournament in South Africa later this year.

The first match is between Scotland and Wales on Friday 6 September (kick-off 19:35). This will be a long-awaited revenge after Scotland’s historic victory over Wales in the 2024 Guinness Six Nations, which ended their 20-year unbeaten run in Cardiff.

On Saturday 14 September (kick-off 4.45pm) the Scottish women will take on Fiji for the first time at the Hive Stadium.

The Fijiana team, known for their exciting brand of rugby, recently topped the rankings for the 2024 Oceania Rugby Women’s Championship.

Head coach Bryan Easson is looking forward to the challenge:

“The opportunity to host Wales and Fiji at the Hive Stadium is incredibly exciting. These games are crucial to our development ahead of WXV2 in South Africa. We look forward to delivering a strong performance and a fantastic experience for our fans before we head to Cape Town.”
