Novak Djokovic has conquered everything there is to win on a tennis court, and has gone even deeper into tennis history by putting his neck around it Olympic gold medal what he had been chasing and dreaming of for years. Many did not believe it, but he has once again proven those who did not believe it wrong and has achieved a legendary success, triumphing over a boy 16 years younger and who was seen by many as a clear favorite.

With the Olympic victory, many are now wondering what motivates a tennis player like him and whether Djokovic will still find the motivation to play, but he made quite surprising statements: “There are always doubts when you reach this age, but the belief and conviction that I can achieve my goals is getting stronger and stronger. I was clear that this was my last chance to win an Olympic gold medal and so I had to focus at all costs to achieve my goal. There is nothing better than seeing myself on the podium and listening to the Serbian anthem with the flag raised.”

Nole also spoke about a possible participation in another Olympic Games and did not rule out the door: “Well, it’s true, I will be 41 when the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games are being played and I would like to be there.”

Still retired, the tennis player continued: “I already know that I have won all the big tournaments, but I still love this sport too much, I love competing and training every day, I want to continue improving and caring for my body.
Tennis means a lot to me and I do my best to give everything back to this sport. I don’t know what the future holds for me, but I think it’s time to celebrate.”

Can he really compete in the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles? Djokovic is the only athlete to actually participate in six Olympic Games in twenty years. His robot tennis and his body can achieve this feat. It is too early to talk about it now, but we must not forget that the Serbian can also decide to participate in the men’s doubles or the mixed doubles. After the triumph and the performances shown yesterday, and given how he takes care of his body, we should not be surprised to see him back on the courts of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

4-time Slam champion, already a true record man, has a considerable number of records to his name, but thanks to yesterday’s victory he has set another one. Nole is in fact the fifth player in history to win the Career Golden Slam, that is to say the 4 Grand Slams and the Olympic gold in singles: before him, only legends of the calibre of Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf and Serena Williams had managed to do so.

A legendary career that of the Balkan champion, which he does not intend to finish: “I already know that I have won all the major tournaments, but I still love this sport too much, I love competitions and training every day, I want to continue to improve and take care of my body. Tennis really means a lot to me and I do my best to give everything back to this sport, now I don’t know what the future will bring me, but I think it’s time to celebrate,” the 37-year-old from Belgrade explained with great pride.

As previously mentioned, Nole also spoke about a possible participation in the Olympic Games again and did not rule out the door: “Well, it’s true, I’ll be 41 years old when the Olympic Games are played in Los Angeles and I would like to be there.”
