Ravutaumada scores impressive tries in the first two matches against Australia 7s

Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s new signing Selestino Ravutaumada scored a pair of impressive tries as they played the Australian Men’s 7s in two scrimmage sessions yesterday afternoon.

Swire Shipping Fijian winger Drua showed his class and blistering speed as he left defenders in his wake in attack.

In defense, Ravutaumada made some dominant tackles and had a great start from the goal line to prevent the opponent from gaining many meters in attack.

Fellow Fijian Drua teammate Iosefo Masi also got a chance to feature and also impressed.

The Fiji Men’s 7s play two more matches against Australia today at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Coach Osea Kolinisau is expected to reduce the squad to 17 players by the end of this week, from the current 24 players in the camp.

The final selection of 13 members is expected to be announced two weeks prior to the Olympic Games.

The Rugby 7s Olympic Games will be held from July 25 to 31, 2024.
