King Charles wants a ‘slimmer monarchy’.

Prince William is said to have taken King Charles III’s initiative for a “slimmed-down monarchy” to the extreme. But as the next king prepares to slim down the crown even further than his father, some royal analysts have issued a “dire warning” about trying to change the very foundations of the monarchy.

“The simple truth is that the royal family cannot be reduced to a few precious individuals without risking it coming to a complete standstill,” the author said. Christopher Andersen an outlet told.

King Charles’s diminished crown falters.

“If one of them starts to falter, the whole thing could come crashing down,” he added. “Right now, Kate is the most vulnerable. The ground beneath Kate is shifting on a massive scale. Only time will tell if she can stand strong.”

The much-maligned, downsized monarchy of Charles III is back in the news following the “worrying” injuries suffered by Princess Anne at her home on June 23. While HRH, long regarded as Britain’s “hardest-working royal”, is “fine”, her “prolonged recovery” is the last thing Charles III’s monarchy needs.

“It will take some time for her to get over this,” said a royal expert Caroline Aston scooped up.

“I think the most serious aspect of this is that the slimmed-down working monarchy that the King wanted is so slim, it’s quite anorexic,” she added emphatically. “Fate has conspired, and that balcony full of royals at Trooping the Colour looks like a set of bowling pins, three knocked down now, where do we go from here? The bowling ball of late seems to be knocking them out one by one.”

Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022.

During the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the iconic monarch is said to have been aware of her heir’s wish to reduce the royal roster and to have ‘accepted’ it – after her dying breath made him king.

“For over 70 years, the Windsors had longevity on their side, almost to a ridiculous degree,” Andersen noted. “Queen Elizabeth was 96 and her husband Prince Philip was 99, the longest-lived royal in history (when he died). The Queen Mother drank her favourite gin and Dubonnets right up until the end, at the astonishing age of 101. There seemed no need for resignation, with senior royals seemingly practically immortal and three generations of future monarchs waiting in the wings.”

“Her Majesty rolled her eyes and then changed the subject to Prince Charles, as he then was,” a former palace aide shared in 2023 of the late Queen’s reaction to a slimmed-down monarchy. “He knew without a doubt that as long as she lived and reigned, none of his ideas would come to fruition,” they continued, before concluding: “But that’s the way it goes — the monarch commands and sets the tone every second of their lives.”
