Pirate legend lashes out at Kaizer Chiefs bosses

Former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns star Benedict ‘Tso’ Vilakazi has been hit with a blow from Kaizer Chiefs management.

According to ‘Tso’, Amakhosi’s management structure is fully responsible for the club’s downward spiral.

Chiefs have gone nine years without lifting a single piece of silverware. Their arch-rivals, on the other hand, continue to improve their standards significantly every season.

According to Vilakazi, the club has ‘forgotten’ to invest in their team over the past ten years. Watch his full rant below.

They lost Kaizer Chiefs as a whole – Vilakazi

“I want to set an example. When (Patrice) Motsepe took over at Sundowns he bought players and everyone said money can’t buy success. While Sundowns are busy doing that, Chiefs forgot to work and build their team. That is why Chiefs are struggling,” Vilakazi said Football Laduma.

“They have lost their culture, their philosophy and their way of playing. They have lost Kaizer Chiefs as a whole. You can’t say it’s money, money, money. If you don’t have the money to challenge Sundowns. Why can’t you go to development cooperation with all the money you have?

“That’s why I say they forget what made them so great. It’s their development. Check out the history of Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates. When Chiefs and Pirates players came out of development, they would shine.
