PHOENIX, ARIZONA - JULY 20: Caitlin Clark #22 of Team WNBA watches against the United States women's basketball team during the second half of the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game at Footprint Center on July 20, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona. Caitlin Clark takes advantage of the remaining days of the WNBA break by visiting Yankee Stadium.

The Indiana Fever star wore a Yankees jersey ahead of Saturday’s doubleheader in the Bronx between the Texas Rangers and the New York Yankees.

Erik Boland from News Day Famed Yankees baseman Anthony Rizzo had his photo taken with Clark, who was given a tour of the stadium and met other members of the club.

Because the Yankees do not put a last name on the back of their home jerseys, the number 22 that Clark wears matches her Fever number and also serves as Juan Soto’s jersey number with the MLB club.

Starting her final season at Iowa, Clark played a total of 65 games over eight months from October 2023 through July 17. That includes a run to the NCAA championship game, being drafted No. 1 overall by the Fever and the intense media attention surrounding her arrival in the WNBA

Clark has had a stellar rookie season thus far. She is averaging 17.1 points, a WNBA-high 8.2 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game in 26 starts. The 22-year-old recorded the first triple-double by a rookie in league history in the Fever’s win over the New York Liberty on July 6.

The Fever resume their season on Friday with a home game against Phoenix Mercury.

Clark, meanwhile, will attend at least one of the two games between the Rangers and Yankees on Saturday, which kick off at 1:05 p.m. ET.
