The PI Panthers Tulgestke 18U softball team, made up of girls from all over northern Michigan, including Alpena, Alcona, Posen, Rogers City, and Onaway and coached by Mike Tulgestke and sheriff’s deputy Christina Bednarski, poses for a photo last weekend after winning the Lansing Krash Fastpitch tourney, beating Michigan Heat 19-2, the Grand Rapids Flames 14-4, and the Brighton Bulldogs 10-0, Michigan Union 12-1, Krash 8-7, and Fenton Fastpitch 11-4. The team will July 19 to 21 host the 15th annual PIGS tourney in Rogers City, featuring 30 teams.
