“Pathetic”: Colby Covington Goes Off on Ian Garry vs. MVP Ending in Decision at UFC 303

“Pathetic”: Colby Covington Goes Off on Ian Garry vs. MVP Ending in Decision at UFC 303

Colby Covington is back and how! Well, nothing new, he’s just ruining a fight he should have been in because of all that whining! Yes, Covington has called the fight between Ian Garry and Michael Page pathetic. Only this time he might come very close to a point.

Garry had made big promises about his performance and how he would dominate Page. But that night the fight ended in a decision victory for Garry, and Dana White and fans thought it was a failure.

And as mentioned above, ‘Chaos’ Covington also belongs to this movement.

In the aftermath of UFC 303, Covington appeared on ‘Submission Radio’ to discuss the fights that took place at UFC 303. When asked what he thought of Garry and his win over Page, Covington said anyone could have an undefeated record by not to fight anyone. .

The former welterweight title contender commiserated with the fans, essentially suggesting that Garry should have finished the bout given his opponent’s ranking.

“Anyone can be 15-0 fighting a bunch of 15 bums… the fans were robbed of a PPV opener. That was pathetic, the guy is fighting the 14th ranked fighter in the world and barely makes it. I think he lost the fight.”

While Garry’s win wasn’t the most impressive, he showed a new, unknown side to his game with impressive wrestling, which he perfected under Demian Maia.

However, the Irishman, who claimed to be the better striker, was outmatched on the feet by ‘Venom’ Page. Anyway, Garry only has one fight in mind now.

Covington vs. Garry for ‘I Quit’?

Garry originally wanted to face Colby Covington as the co-main event at UFC 303 in a WWE-style ‘I Quit’ fight.

That didn’t happen because Covington wasn’t interested, though. Maybe now that Garry has won, he can force Covington’s hand. Either way, that’s not the fight fans get.

In the post-match press conference, Garry said he wanted to face Shavkat Rakhmanov in his next fight. If that happens, it will be a fight against the No. 3 seed in the 170-pound class.

From the fans’ perspective, though, Garry vs Covington has to happen before ‘Chaos’ ends it all.
