If you want to show your support for a local soccer team with a winning record, you can head to Widener this Wednesday or down the shore on Sunday and catch an Ocean City Nor’easters game before the short season ends.

The Storm have outpaced the rest of their USL2 East rivals with an 8-1-0 record thus far. In sweeping the rest of the conference, OCNE have completed a Three-Peat, capturing the Mid-Atlantic East Division title for the third straight year and putting themselves in prime position to win a third straight Mid-Atlantic Division championship.

The current Noreasters roster includes 14 international players on U.S. college teams. With 18 alumni playing professional soccer, OCNE has been a springboard for Union Boys in Blue, including John McCarthy, Ryan Richter and current Union II player Nick Pariano.

The Nor’easters return to action on Wednesday, July 3, against Philadelphia Lone Star FC (3-5-1) at Widener University. It’s the final road game of the regular season and the Storm will enter the game riding a club-record 25-game unbeaten run on the road. Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Ocean City’s next home game is on Sunday, July 7 against longtime rival Reading United AC at Carey Stadium in Ocean City NJ, “America’s Greatest Family Resort”.

Looking ahead, the USL2 Playoff Qualifying Round will be held from July 15 to 16. The Round of 32 and Round of 16 matches are scheduled for July 19 and 21. The conference finals and national semifinals are July 26 and 28. And if any of the USL2 East teams make it to the final, it will be held on August 3. All playoff locations are TBD.

Single-game tickets for Nor’easters home games can be purchased for $10 each. The easiest way to purchase tickets is to purchase them online through the Nor’easters website (OceanCityFC.com). Tickets can also be purchased at the Carey Stadium gate, with cash or smartphone.
