She added: “It’s incredibly important for young people’s health that they stay active and social. These sessions are a great way to make new friends and have fun at the same time.”

The activities will take place from 23 July to 1 September at the Swan Centre, Leatherhead Leisure Centre and Kingston Road Recreation Ground.

The Dorking locations include Meadowbank Park, The Christian Centre, Dorking Sports Centre, High Ashurst and St Joseph’s School.

The deadline for registration is July 19 and the city said some activities are available to anyone up to 16, while some are age-specific.
