Wirt volleyball golf scramble

The Wirt County High School volleyball team will compete at Mingo Bottom Golf Club on Saturday, July 27.

The cost is $200 per foursome and there are prizes for first and second place.

Lunch and snacks will be provided. Registration is at 8am with a shotgun start at 9am. Two mulligans per player and tee buster is $10.

There will also be a 50-50 raffle (15 tickets for $10 or 50 tickets for $20).

Murphy defeats Worthington

Jody Murphy of Parkersburg made his first career hole-in-one on Tuesday, June 11, at Worthington Golf Club.

During the Knights of Columbus League competition, Murphy hit a perfect 7-iron on the 145-yard, par-3, hole 4.

Kaleb Deon and Mike Evans witnessed this feat.
