HOW MUCH DO YOU WIN AFTER TAX?

There are 800 million reasons to dream, especially what you would do with the jackpot money. However, one thing that all lottery winners must consider is the fact that their winnings will be taxed.

How much do you actually have left after deducting taxes?

It depends on a few factors: do you have to pay state taxes where you live? Do you take the lump sum payment or the annuity payment?

According to the Mega Millions website, those who choose the annuity option will receive one immediate payment, followed by 29 annual payments. This process is identical to Powerball payouts.
