Man United identify three potential replacements for defender Luke Shaw

Manchester United enjoyed one of their best summer transfer windows.

They managed to strengthen their attack, midfield and defence, giving manager Erik ten Hag the perfect opportunity to perform well this season and compete for trophies.

There are still a number of areas that require attention in the near future, most notably the left-back position.

Man United have started the season without both left-backs, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.

They are still out of action due to long-term injuries and the Red Devils are now ready to address that problem during the January transfer window.

According to GiveMeSport, Fulham defender Antonee Robinson, Bournemouth player Milos Kerkez and Brest player Bradley Locko have been identified by Man United as potential players for the January transfer window.

The club wants to replace defender Luke Shaw, who is struggling at the club due to injuries.

A fit Shaw is one of the best and most important players in the team, but the former Southampton defender has never been completely immune to injury during his career.

Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is struggling with injuries.

He represented England at the 2024 European Championship, but has not featured for club or country since then.

This causes frustration at the club, as manager Erik ten Hag has to field a right back in the left back position.

Man United are in dire need of a new, reliable left-back

Shaw made just 15 appearances for the club last season, a significant drop for a player who plays in a crucial position and is one of the most important players in the first team.

Of the players Man United have identified for the left-back position, Fulham’s Robinson is the most experienced. The 27-year-old has been a week-in, week-out player for the Cottagers and is one of their best players.

The other two options, Kerkez and Lokco, are young players who need time to develop and need to be carefully managed with rotation.

It all depends on the manager and his squad as to what they want, but from the options the club have named, Robinson would be the ideal choice for the Red Devils.
