With less than two weeks to go until the start of the 2024 MLB Postseason, things are finally starting to fall into place. That doesn’t mean everything is set in stone, though. The NL and AL wild card teams are about to take a more exciting turn, and we here at Baseball Bar-B-Cast are here to break it all down for you.

Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss the latest news on what the postseason could look like, including how the surging New York Mets are now tied with the Arizona Diamondbacks for second place in the NL Wild Card standings, how the Atlanta Braves suffered a brutal loss to the Cincinnati Reds and how the Detroit Tigers are making a strong push to get into the race in October.

Also in this episode, Jake and Jordan draft every possible playoff rotation from most impressive to least impressive, and try to figure out which pitchers will be in or out of their respective rotations. The guys then talk about Juan Soto hitting his 200th career home run, as well as his 30th MLB park home run, Victor Robles’ extremely questionable decision to try to steal a home run, and Jose Altuve getting ejected after taking off his shoe and sock.
