Kiernan Keller is receiving a Rouse Leadership Scholarship

LANCASTER, Pa. – A leader in the classroom, the community and the ballpark, Kiernan Keller of the Franklin & Marshall baseball team was named a recipient of the Rouse Leadership Scholarship, as announced by the College earlier this spring. The Rouse Leadership Scholarship is awarded to Franklin & Marshall sophomores who demonstrate leadership potential in their colleges, creative and performing arts, athletics, student government, fraternities and sororities, volunteer opportunities and other student organizations.

During the 2023-2024 school year, Keller served as president of the Class of 2026, where he not only worked to improve the student experience for his classmates, but also created opportunities to help improve the community around F&M through community service trips. In addition, Keller also served as premier of Ware College House. In that role, the second-year orchestrated a renovation of the living room to bring residents together and promote a sense of community.

Keller strove to make an immediate impact as soon as he arrived on campus, serving as a senator in the Class Cabinet of 2026 during his freshman year at F&M. In that role, Keller assisted with class programming, helped plan class events and served as a voting member of the Diplomatic Congress.

On the baseball field, Keller had a 3.33 ERA with 45 strikeouts in 48.2 innings, earning Second Team All-Centennial Conference honors during the 2024 season. Most recently, the left-handed pitcher was named to both the Centennial Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll and the College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team.

Keller will continue to be a leader on campus and in the community in the coming academic year, as he was elected vice president of the Franklin & Marshall Student Body for the 2024-2025 school year.
