Junior Solheim Cup 2024, Team USA triumphs

Team USA defeated Team Europe 18.5-5.5 in the 13th edition of the PING Junior Solheim Cup, the under-18 challenge held at the Army Navy Country Club course in Arlington, Virginia. It was a tough comeback for the Americans who were coming off two consecutive losses.

The match saw the winners take an 8-4 lead after the two doubles sessions, before going wild in the singles with a partial 10.5 to 1.5, the Beth Daniel-led team recording the largest margin in tournament history.

The continental team, led by French Gwladys Nocera, consisted of Paris Appendino who, together with French Alice Kong, drew with Natalie Yen and Anna Fang in the fourball and defeated Sofia Cherif Essakali and Madison Messimer by 1 in the foursome.

In the singles, the Italian was defeated 5&4 by Gianna Clemente, one of the three Americans who won all three matches played. The other two were Jude Lee and Elizabeth Rudisill. Paris Appendino, with the won one and a half points, was one of the most positive among the Europeans, where only Martina Navarro Navarro managed to win twice (once in doubles and once in singles).
