Hello everyone, and welcome to our live WWE NXT coverage on 411! Jeremy Thomas here as usual, and tonight NXT is making its final push towards NXT Heatwave this weekend. Tonight’s show will see Trick Williams, Shawn Spears, Je’Von Evans, and Ethan Page sign the contract for their NXT Championship match at Heatwave, while Lola Vice and Roxanne Perez have a face-to-face for their match on Sunday’s PPV. We’ll also see the New Catch Republic take on Hank Walker and Tank Ledger, a Street Fight between Michin and Jaida Parker, Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe vs. Gallus, and Brinley Reece taking on Izzi Dame. Should be a fun show.

Here at Thomas HQ, I wrapped up my Pride Month Queer As Fuck film-watching challenge by watching nearly 30 queer films in the month. My final week saw me relive the infinitely cool and queer vibes of David Bowie, Catherine Deneuve, and Susan Sarandon in The hungerRachel Sennott’s fantastic comedy that is constructed like a psychological horror film Shiva babyand John Waters trash as a masterpiece of art Female problem.

In addition, I got the chance to review the French vampire film The Vourdalak (you can read that review here ) I closed out the week with the very decent but divisive slasher In a violent naturewhich I enjoyed, but I can see why some won’t; Iyana Night Shyamalan’s The Watcherswhich had its moments, but was a bit too long-winded; the crazy and fun movie about a shark attack Under Paris; and the Amy Winehouse biopic Back to blackwhich is excellent in terms of acting and technique, but falls short in terms of vision and script.

In the meantime, I have been keeping up to date on TV as usual RuPaul’s Drag Race Allstars season nine (go Gottmik go!) and also The Acolytewhich went HARD last week in a good way. I also started watching the new Dimension 20 season Keep blowing it up what promises to be a delight, and finally watched the four-episode docuseries from 2021 The People vs. the Klan at Max.

Anyway, there’s a lot to discuss tonight, so let’s dive right in.

As a reminder, the GoFundMe for Larry’s daughters is still active and if you can make a donation that would be great. Thank you so much to everyone who has done so far.
