Iran crowned champions of 2024 Asian U20 volleyball tournament

TEHRAN – Iran comfortably defeated South Korea in three sets (25-12, 25-18, 25-22) in the final of the 2024 Asian U-20 Men’s Volleyball Championship on Tuesday.

Earlier in the day, Japan defeated Indonesia in the battle for third place.

Iran defeated China, Chinese Taipei, Qatar, Kazakhstan, South Korea and Indonesia in the event.

Iran is the most decorated team in the competition, having won eight golds.

The 2024 Asian Men’s Under-20 Volleyball Championship was the 22nd edition of the Asian Men’s Under-20 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and the Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI).

The tournament was held from July 23 to 30 in Surabaya, Indonesia.

The top championship served as an Asian qualifying tournament for the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men’s U21 World Championship. The top four teams advanced to the competition.
