Detroit enjoyed an unforgettable season in 2023, winning its first-ever NFC North title before a run of NFC title games that saw the club record two playoff wins to double its previous postseason win total since 1957.

Much of Motown’s magic was due to Detroit’s dynamic offensive play.

Can these new-age lions keep cooking? There has been a lot of focus this offseason on improving Detroit’s defense, but the offense that has fueled the team’s resurgence needs to maintain, if not improve, its strength.

Goff memorably opined last season that the Lions have a lot of standouts on their roster, but they’re just not getting the attention. Now it’s getting harder to ignore the Lions.

Horsepower is a big thing in the Motor City, and the Lions have plenty of it on the offensive side of the ball. Goff and co. keeping their foot on the gas pedal in 2024 could well determine whether the Lions become one-year wonders or remain kings of the NFC North and contenders to reach the franchise’s first Super Bowl.
