Harley-Davidson has slashed the price of its X440 motorcycle by ₹15,000, making the mid-spec Vivid variant available for ₹2.45 lakh (ex-showroom) till August 15. The discount is aimed at boosting sales amid mounting competition from newcomers like the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450. New Delhi: Harley-Davidson has announced a significant price cut for its X440 motorcycle in India, with a discount of
₹15,000 for the mid-spec Vivid variant. It is a limited time offer that brings the price down to ₹2.45 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available till August 15. Despite the bike’s premium look and feel and modern features, the X440 doesn’t seem to have lived up to the sales expectations in the Indian market.

Harley-Davidson X440: Design, Features and Specifications

Inspired by the classic HD XR1200, the X440 features a striking neo-retro design with modern touches. It features a round headlight, offset console, blocky fuel tank and an elongated rear end with chunky grab rails. The affordable Vivid variant misses out on the diamond-cut alloy wheels and eSIM capabilities found on the top-spec S variant, which gets a 3.5-inch instrument cluster.

The motorcycle comes with full LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, a digital console with Bluetooth connectivity, a USB charging port and a side stand engine kill function. Powered by a 440cc air/oil-cooled engine that produces 27 PS and 38 Nm of torque, the X440 is mated to a five-speed gearbox. It has a trellis frame and rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, with the suspension managed by KYB USD forks at the front and dual springs at the rear. Braking is handled by single discs at both the ends.

Weighing in at 190.5 kg, the Harley-Davidson X440 offers a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 litres, making it a robust option for riders looking for a blend of classic style and modern performance. However, the recent launch of the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has intensified competition in the market, which could potentially impact the demand and sales of the X440.

The X440 is positioned in a competitive segment that includes rivals like the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Triumph Speed ​​400 and Honda H’ness CB350, among others.
