EKUHoops to Play Three Games at Gulf Coast Showcase in November

The Colonels are one of eight teams participating in the Gulf Coast Showcase tournament this season.

EKU will play three games in three days, November 25-27, at Hertz Arena in Estero, Florida. The full field and the Colonels’ first-round opponent will be announced at a later date. The games will be broadcast live on FloHoops.

The Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa is the official main resort of the Gulf Coast Showcase and will be home to all eight teams.

The Gulf Coast Showcase has been held annually since 2013, with the exception of the 2020-21 COVID season. Previous champions include Louisiana Tech (2013), Houston (2016), Toledo (2018), Oakland (2021) and Florida Gulf Coast (2022). Last year, Hofstra captured the title after a 97-92 overtime win over High Point.

The Colonels won the 2023-24 Atlantic Sun Conference Regular Season Championship, the program’s first regular season conference title in 45 years. Head Coach AW Hamilton was named ASUN Coach of the Year and the NABC District III Coach of the Year. He is the first coach in program history to be named conference coach of the year twice.
