Duke repeats as host site for ITA Kickoff Weekend

DURHAM – Following the Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) Kickoff Weekend concept, No. 14 Duke named one of 14 host sites for the annual national event.

The tournament will take place from January 24 to 27, 2025 and will include 14 host sites. A total of four teams are competing at each of the host venues, for a total of 56 teams, and all are looking to win one of the 14 coveted spots at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Baylor University and SMU will serve as co-hosts for the 2025 ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Both teams will receive automatic entry into the championships, while the remaining 14 Kickoff Weekend winners will advance to Waco or Dallas.

Duke is the top player in the region and will host the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center for the second consecutive season. The Blue Devils are joined in Durham by No. 2 seed and No. 30 ranked Cornell, No. 3 seed and No. 42 ranked Vanderbilt and No. 4 seed and No. 54 ranked Old Dominion.

This past season, Duke completed its eight 20-win season under head coach Ramsey Smith, nine ACC wins, an ACC semifinals appearance and his 13th NCAA Tournament appearance in the past 16 years. In addition, the Blue Devils hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament and advanced to the super regional round for the second year in a row.
