Decathlon store opens this Friday 28th in Clerys Quartere June

Following the hugely successful openings of Decathlon Ballymun in 2020 and Limerick in 2023, Decathlon will open its third store in Ireland this Friday, October 28, located in the masterfully restored Clerys Quarter on O’Connell Street.e June at 12 noon!

The Clerys Building is an iconic building in Dublin and, in an era before mobile phones, was an important landmark where people could meet ‘under the Clerys clock!’

After months of sourcing, Decathlon has secured a long-term partnership on a 30-year deal on Dublin’s most famous street. The opening will also pass 50 new jobs have been created locallyin different areas.

The store will span two floors with a floor area of ​​over 2,200 square meters. Upon entering the store, customers can explore areas of running, swimming, nutrition, yoga and pilates. The lower level includes even more sports, including walking and camping, cycling and urban mobility, fitness and boxing, as well as team sports such as GAA, football, golf and tennis. In the store, customers can discover innovative Decathlon brands, but also brands they know and love.

The store offers both online and in-store solutions to discover and make purchases, assisted by Decathlon’s experienced sports advisors. Connected order is the digital solution for Decathlon’s in-store teammates to sell the entire product catalogue, even if products are out of stock in the store. Here, customers can also purchase larger ticket items that may not be available in the Clerys Quarter store due to floor space, and these items will be delivered directly to their home.

The store will also have the Decathlon workshop This is the cornerstone of all stores designed to extend the life of products and serve a wide target group of sports enthusiasts. It will feature an express workshop on the ground floor for quick service and a main workshop in the basement for more extensive repairs and maintenance. Decathlon’s carefully selected services ensure that customers’ needs are met efficiently and effectively.

Current estimates suggest that there are at least 26,000 bicycles in central Dublin every day, and the Decathlon workshop is the place to go if you have any problems with yours. In addition, the workshop also offers a clothing printing service and a range of trophies. These services are tailored to the diverse needs of the customer base, from customizing cycling clothing to celebrating achievements with bespoke trophies.
