Darcy Kuemper dealt to Kings – NHL News

15 seconds agoGoaltender Darcy Kuemper was dealt to the Los Angeles Kings by the Washington Capitals on Wednesday. He was sent to LA in exchange for striker Pierre-Luc Dubois. Kuemper was dumped by the Capitals just two seasons after signing a five-year, $26.25 million contract as a free agent. The 34-year-old, who helped the Colorado Avalanche win the Stanley Cup in 2022, had a decent debut season in Washington but suffered from a lack of form in the 2023-2024 campaign. Kuemper finished the season as the backup to Charlie Lindgren, posting a 13-14-3 record with a 3.31 goals-against average and an .890 save percentage. In Los Angeles, Kuemper faces a battle for playing time with David Rittich.Taavi Pailk – RotoBaller
