A current champion in WWE has confirmed that they left Raw before the debut of Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sicks.

The wrestling world is still buzzing from the epic debut of Uncle Howdy and the Wyatt Sicks to close out this week’s Raw show.

The group of Howdy, Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis wreaked havoc backstage, as did Chad Gable.

Since the show, numerous WWE stars have confirmed they were safe from the attack, including Bronson Reed, Braun Strowman, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, and another name has now confirmed he was safe from the attack.

Speaking to Sportsnet, Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn revealed that he left the show about five or ten minutes before the attack and heard about it from fans on social media.

He said:

“Yeah, so I actually didn’t even know that was happening because I left the arena right after my thing was done. So maybe five or ten minutes before all that stuff happened on Monday Night Raw, I had no idea and left the arena and didn’t look at the results of what happened or anything.

“TThen I get to my hotel and I tweet the presale code for my comedy show and all the replies from the fans are like, “Your coworkers got killed, what are you doing tweeting the comedy show?”
