Crimson Tikes: Name That Tune

By the way, “Your Song” is Sir Elton John’s first international top 10 charting single. It was written by John and Bernie Taupin, but was first released in 1970 on an album by the American band Three Dog Night. John then recorded it as a single. In 1998, “Your Song” was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Cartoons by Anthony Sisco that highlight the lighter side of the Alabama football team, its coaches and avid fans (and sometimes UA’s other sports).

“Crimson Tikes” is the brainchild of Anthony Sisco, who is passionate about all things Crimson Tide. Although his career paths have taken him in different directions, the cartoon surrounding Alabama athletics has been a labor of love in recent years.

He and his wife live in Hickory Flat, Georgia, where they have raised two children and a host of pets. He attended Alabama through the distance learning program to study writing and literature, though Sisco still enjoys visiting Tuscaloosa whenever possible (the self-described lifelong Alabama football fan considers the campus “holy ground”).

Originally from Huntsville, his background includes two years in the U.S. Army stationed in Monterrey, California; plus 30 years of full and lay ministry stretching from Atlanta all the way to New England. Add two decades of various entrepreneurial pursuits and you’ll see hints of what he describes as spiritual insights and philosophical musings, all with a Peanuts-esque approach to the Crimson Tide.”

Sisco’s collectible books include: “Crimson Tikes – The Tradition Rolls On,” “Bouncing Back,” “Out of Order” and “The Best of Crimson Tikes.” They can be ordered at www.anthonysisco.com.
