Collin Bergstrom ’24 earns USILA Scholar All-America Honors

LOUISVILLE, KY – In keeping with the tradition of excellence in academics, Harvard Men’s Lacrosse senior captain, Collin Bergström ’24, has been named a Scholar All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Marking the seventh consecutive season that a Harvard representative has been honored, Bergstrom became the 18the Scholar All-American in program history.

A native of Winchester, Bergstrom earned his second career All-Ivy honors and his second straight Second Team win after another stellar season in the Crimson and White. He was one of Coach Byrne and Coach Grill’s most trusted defenders and started every game in the 2024 season. Bergstrom wreaked havoc on the defensive end of the court, recording 12 caused turnovers and adding 14 ground balls throughout the campaign. The team captain set a new career high against Dartmouth, committing five turnovers, which was the second-highest total in an NCAA game this season.

Bergstrom was regularly tasked with marking the opponent’s highest scoring threat, helping All-Americans and NCAA leaders Connor Shellenberger (0 goals), Michael Boehm (Michigan, 0 goals), Kevin Groeninger (Bryant, 1 goal) and Coulter Mackesy (Princeton, 1 goal). Bergstrom will graduate from Harvard in May and join the Marine Corps, where he will be commissioned as a second lieutenant after completing OCS training last summer.
