CJ Cansino and Evan Nelle file for 2024 PBA rookie draft

A quartet of UAAP champions make themselves available for the PBA Season 49 Rookie Draft.

CJ Cansino, Evan Nelle, CJ Catapusan and Paul Garcia all submitted their applications to the league office in Libis on Wednesday. All four are represented by VP Global (formerly Virtual Playground).

Cansino and Catapusan were part of the University of the Philippines team that ended a 36-year title drought by winning the UAAP Season 84 men’s basketball championship by toppling Ateneo.

Nelle, a former NCAA Finals MVP with the San Beda Red Cubs, meanwhile, was a key player in La Salle’s championship victory over UP in UAAP Season 86 under coach Topex Robinson.
