Choco Mucho brings in Dindin Santiago-Manabat and imports Zoi Faki to compensate for important absences

Choco Mucho takes over Dindin Santiago-Manabat and imports Zoi Faki ahead of the PVL Reinforce Conference – moves that will somehow mitigate the absence of Sisi Rondina and Cherry Nunag, who will be busy with Alas Pilipinas duties

MANILA, Philippines – Reinforcements are coming for Choco Mucho as the Flying Titans are without their key players Sisi Rondina and Cherry Nunag for their upcoming PVL campaign.

The Titans acquired veteran Dindin Santiago-Manabat and imported Zoi Faki ahead of the Reinforced Conference in July – moves that somehow alleviate the absences of Rondina and Nunag, who will be busy with national team duties.

Rondina and Nunag, members of the Alas Pilipinas team that recently won a historic bronze medal in the AVC Challenge Cup, will remain with the national team for the FIVB Women’s Challenger Cup in July and the Southeast Asia V.League in August.

Santiago-Manabat landed in Choco Mucho after her alleged trade from Akari to Nxled reportedly fell through.

Santiago-Manabat, a 6-foot-4 opponent who has played abroad in Japan and Thailand, provides some much-needed firepower for a side that looks to be over the hump after settling for second place in the last two conferences.

Meanwhile, Faki is an outside hitter from Greece who played collegiate volleyball for Pittsburgh University and San Diego State University in the American NCAA.

She then played for the Greek clubs AO Thiras and Apollon Kalamatas.

The Titans will also have the opportunity to land a young player if they go No. 11 in the inaugural PVL Draft. – Rappler.com
