BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – Canfield outlasted Howland 3-0 in Ohio District 2 12U Little League Softball at the Fields of Dreams in Boardman on Saturday afternoon.

The Cardinals already led 1-0, but they increased their lead with two runs to make it 3-0 in the fifth inning. Raya Thomas was the heavy favorite when she drove in Sloan Vodhanel for an RBI double.

Canfield plays the championship game against Austintown on Monday, July 1 at 8 p.m. This match will be broadcast live as a special presentation of the WKBN Game of the Week and can also be viewed via the WKBN app.
