Big screen in Amersfoort to watch the Olympic Games together

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday a large screen will be placed on a square in the centre of Amersfoort, where people can watch the Olympic Games together. The games can be seen daily from 12:00 to 23:00 at the Lieve Vrouwekerkhof.

Amersfoort is the birthplace of athlete Femke Bol. If she qualifies, she will run the final of the 400 meter hurdles on Thursday evening. The municipality of Utrecht reports that the competition can also be seen on the screen. “When we watch the final together, the square is not called ‘the Femke Bolplein’ for nothing”, says sports alderman Ben van Koningsveld.

Bol already won a gold medal at this edition of the Olympic Games when she led the mixed relay team to gold in the 400 meters in Paris.
