Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe were part of Beetlejuice Beetlejuiceand they summed up their reaction after seeing the sequel for the first time: “surprised and shocked.”

What surprised them most, they said, was the depth of emotion in the comedy film.

“There were big parts that I was obviously not involved in because I was part of the ensemble,” the Spider-Man star told GamesRadar+who played Wolf Jackson.

“I think there are occasional emotional outbursts that you don’t expect. I mean, obviously there’s a lot of comedy and there’s a lot of great jokes and weird twists on things. But every once in a while, in the family story, there’s going to be some kind of emotional outburst,” he added.

Following her fellow players’ views, Bond actress, who played Delores, said: “Even though I knew the script, I was so surprised and shocked when I saw the film because there are so many elements in it.”

“The film is scary, but it’s also funny and full of emotion and it’s darkly comedic and gothic. So, I mean, I think it’s the kind of film for all generations.”
