Baseball: Five Osakis players finish season with all-conference honors – Alexandria Echo Press

OSAKIS — The Osakis baseball team finished the 2024 season with a 5-11 record (3-3 in the Prairie Conference) in what was Shad Schmidt and Carter Tschida’s first season as the program’s co-head coaches.

Kyle Mages, Grant Mages and Ben Berger were all named to the all-conference team. Wyatt Sell and Jacob Johanson received honorable mentions.

Grant Mages also received an all-section (6AA) award for his play.

Sell ​​won Osakis’ Gold Glove Award, while Mages won the team’s Silver Slugger Award and Jacobson won the Silverstreak Award. Ben Berger was named the team’s Pitcher of the Year, while Gavin Mueznhuber won the team’s Rookie of the Year Award and Austin Dickinson was named the team’s Most Improved Player.
