Atlanta Braves News: Chris Sale Is Awesome Again, Atlanta Is Tied Again in Wild Card Race, More

Sunday followed the same script the Braves have had to rely on for many of their victories in 2024.

Dominant starting pitching, combined with underwhelming offense for much of the game, and then making fewer errors in the final stages than the other team, led to the win.

That allowed Atlanta to come back twice against the Blue Jays to clinch the series win on Sunday. And while it can be exciting and frustrating, it’s still a win, and one that once again tied the Braves with the Mets for the final NL Wild Card spot.

And for the next week, the Braves will have to keep finding ways to win unless the offense can find some kind of success. Even though there are three weeks left in the regular season, it still feels like every game has a playoff feel. And at some point, the Braves offense has to step up to support the pitching.
