AT Perry (hand) added to Saints injury report for week 1 against Panthers

Let’s start with the positives. The New Orleans Saints upgraded star cornerback Marshon Lattimore (hip) to full eligibility on Thursday’s injury report ahead of their Week 1 kickoff game at the Carolina Panthers, who listed starting nickel corner Troy Hill (heel) as a limited participant with a new injury. Both moves benefit New Orleans.

Now for the bad news. Sophomore wideout AT Perry (hand) didn’t practice at all on Thursday after working all day on Wednesday. A hand injury is obviously a serious concern for a wide receiver, so we’ll keep an eye out for updates on his progress throughout the week.

If there’s any consolation, it’s that Perry wasn’t going to be a major factor anyway. Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed continued to play for him this summer. So did free agent acquisitions Cedrick Wilson Jr. and Equanimeous St. Brown. Perry will fight for targets regardless of his health.

Here’s Thursday’s updated injury report ahead of Sunday’s game:
