AEW star appears to be leaving faction

On tonight’s AEW Dynamite, a top star seemingly confirmed that he no longer wants to be associated with his former faction.

In a heated in-ring segment between AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay ahead of their fight at Forbidden Door 2024, Ospreay made a statement.

Swerve Strickland asked Ospreay whether or not he would use the Don Callis Family to win the match – noting that Callis helped Ospreay defeat Kenny Omega at last year’s Forbidden Door.

At the time, Ospreay passionately rejected the idea, saying he didn’t need the Don Callis family to win.

The exchange would continue to escalate until Prince Nana intervened to remind the pair to save their fire for the upcoming title fight at Forbidden Door 2024.

Following the segment, the Don Callis family was shown backstage after watching what unfolded, with newest addition Trent Beretta noting that the disrespect should not continue.

In the next match, fellow Don Callis Family members Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita teamed up with Roderick Strong and Zack Saber Jr to take on Mark Briscoe, Dante Martin, Orange Cassidy and Kyle O’Reilly.
