The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 was undoubtedly a special event that will go down in history for many reasons.

Here we take a closer look at 5 of the amazing achievements and records:

1) Highest score in Men’s T20 World Cup

India and South Africa both finished with eight wins. However, India’s 167/7 in the final was the highest by any team in a Men’s T20 World Cup final.

2) Most wickets in one series

The T20 World Cop was a tournament that was great for bowlers. Afghanistan’s Fazhalaq Farooqi and India’s Arshdeep Singh both managed to take 17 wickets, which is by far the most in a single series.

3) Best bowling average

India’s sensational Jasprit Bumrah made it to the end and finished the series with the best bowling average of a fantastic 8.3.

4) 4-wicket virgin over

England fast bowler Chris Jordan set a record for a first over with 4 wickets, three of which were hat-tricks.

5) 4 full maiden overs

New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Furguson became the first man to bowl four maiden overs in a T20 World Cup season, finishing with a 3/0 (4) score against Papua New Guinea.
