3-star athlete chooses Nebraska Football over Louisville

A versatile athlete is coming to Lincoln.

Matt Rhule added the commitment of three-star athlete Jeremiah Jones on Monday. Jones made the announcement on social media.

“I feel blessed and excited to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska!! Go for it Cornhuskers!”

The 6-5, 215-pound (according to 247Sports) athlete from Murray, Kentucky, was rumored to be Louisville’s first choice. Jones visited the Cardinals in May, but a recent visit to Lincoln (June 21) turned the tide for the Big Red.

Jones will likely play on the defensive side of the ball as a safety for NU. He has also played linebacker, quarterback and wide receiver.

Nebraska has 14 commits for the 2025 class, which currently ranks No. 37 in the nation and No. 11 in the Big Ten Conference.
